This study explores the use of dynamic contrast-enhanced ultrasound (DCEUS) to diagnose kidney obstruction, which current imaging methods like nuclear medicine (NM) scans struggle to confirm confidently. Five patients with ureteropelvic junction obstruction were analyzed. DCEUS measurements, specifically mean transient time (MTT), showed significant differences between normal and obstructed kidneys, suggesting DCEUS could be a reliable alternative for diagnosing kidney obstruction. Further studies with larger sample sizes are recommended to confirm these findings.
