This study evaluated the effectiveness of ultrasound-guided selective cervical nerve root pulsed radiofrequency (US-SCNR PRF) treatment in 62 patients with chronic cervical radicular pain due to cervical disc herniation who had not responded to conservative treatments. Results indicated significant pain reduction at 1, 3, and 6 months post-treatment, with 59.6% of patients experiencing at least a 50% reduction in pain at the six-month mark. Additionally, functionality and neuropathic pain scores improved significantly by six months. The study suggests that US-SCNR PRF is a safe and effective treatment option for managing refractory cervical radicular pain, providing real-time visualization without radiation exposure.
