A new study has found that the quality of ultrasound scans of the liver and kidneys is lower in obese patients. This is because adipose tissue, or fat, can interfere with the ultrasound waves, making it more difficult to get clear images. This could lead to misdiagnoses or missed diagnoses in obese patients.
