In 2023, the American Urological Association updated its 2019 guideline on incontinence after prostate treatment (IPT) to incorporate new evidence. After reviewing 82 studies, 17 met the inclusion criteria to inform updated recommendations. The panel created evidence-based statements aimed at improving care for patients with IPT, noting that advancements in prostate treatments are expected to reduce incontinence rates. Continued reviews of the guidelines will be necessary as diagnostic and treatment methods evolve.
