Summary
Hepatic epithelioid angiomyolipoma (HEAML) is a rare variant of angiomyolipoma that occurs in the liver and mimics hepatocellular carcinoma on imaging. This case report describes the use of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) with the contrast agent Sonazoid® to differentiate HEAML from hepatocellular carcinoma.
The study demonstrates the potential of CEUS with Sonazoid® for accurate diagnosis and characterization of HEAML, providing valuable guidance for clinicians and radiologists.
