Summary
This case report describes a 22-year-old female patient who presented with a history of irregular menstrual cycles and recent complaints of prolonged menstruation and anemia.
Ultrasound and computed tomography revealed pelvic masses, but it was challenging to definitively diagnose or exclude neoplasms based on imaging findings. The patient underwent an exploratory laparotomy, during which nodules in the right adnexal region were removed, and a left ovarian biopsy was performed.
Pathological examination revealed nodular ovarian tissue with cortical fibrosis but no tumor cells. This case highlights the ultrasound characteristics of lobulated ovaries and underscores the importance of recognizing these features in clinical practice.
